WEEK 1 NFL, COLLEGE, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS

PREVIOUS WEEKS REVIEW/RANDOM THOUGHTS

  • Here is yet another lame brain investigative report by WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas trying to out Texas High School Football

In my opinion the states top junior quarterback and Dave Campbells’ underclassman of the year as a sophomore Klein Forest junior QB Matt Davis tore his ACL in the game against Cinco Ranch. Its going to kill their playoff hopes in my opinion. Klein Forest with Matt scored 21 first half points he got hurt just before halftime. After that zero points the rest of the game. In the loss to Cinco Ranch.

  • That Injury surely helps Tomball out cause that last game of season becomes manageable maybe winable. With Davis that game wouldn’t be close but without him I still think Klein Forest has to much to handle. But they can hang with Klein Forest without Matt Davis

  • Malcolm Brown San Antonio Cibolo Steele High School (Texas Commit) looked great in the showdown on ESPN vs he had a highlight reel run that made sportscenter top 10 plays check it out

  • In front of 30,000 Lake Travis came from behind losing 15-0 at halftime to beat Austin Westlake 32-21 here is the highlights of that game

OVERALL GAME OF THE WEEK

#3 Boise State Broncos (-2 ½) vs #10 Virginia Tech Hokies (+ 2 ½)

7pm Monday Sept. 6th Fed Ex Field TV:ESPN

PRETTY GOOD HYPE VIDEO RIGHT HERE watch it!!

Virginia Tech RB Ryan Williams                 Boise State QB Kellen Moore

This game here is Boise State’s Super Bowl, If they can somehow win this one they can possibly backdoor into that National Championship game if they don’t they are headed to the humanitarian.com bowl, so needless to say this game this game is important to them even if they do win this game I still think they will get upset somewhere down the line. But for right now this is the most important game in their schools history. But lets face even though Virginia Tech has historically struggled early in seasons past they even struggling are better than the conference opponents of Boise St. I just cant see Boise being able to do anything against a strong opponent with a strong defense then give that strong defense 2 ½ points I’ll take Virginia Tech in this one as a matter of fact I’m almost willing to make this one my lock of the week.

TOES PICK
BOISE STATE: 10
VIRGINIA TECH: 17

HIGH SCHOOL GAME OF THE WEEK

THE WOODLANDS HIGHLANDERS vs FORT BEND HIGHTOWER HURRICANES
FRIDAY SEPT. 3RD 7:30 WOODFOREST STADIUM (woodlands)

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The Woodlands RB Daniel Lasco (senior)       Fort Bend Hightower RB Joshua Wilhite (Junior)
(California Commit)

Well two top ranked area teams collide and they are coming off of victories in week 0. Woodlands has yet again it seems like the 7th year in a row Lasco has been the Woodlands running back since his freshman year. But he tweeked his ankle in last weeks game. I dont really think it will matter if he plays or not they got a solid defense. Hightower is coming off a coaching change they. They lost some D-1 talent off of last years team. And these are games that inner city kids the seems to choke or shoot themselves in the foot in so I will take Woodlands in this one.

TOES PICK:
THE WOODLANDS: 32
FB HIGHTOWER: 14

TOMBALL COUGARS VS JERSEY VILLAGE

7PM FRIDAY SEPT. 3RD COUGAR STADIUM (TOMBALL)

Photobucket                                                             Photobucket

TOMBALL WR Montrell Logan RB Brian Angelle           Jersey Village RB Victor Brown

Tomball looked great against Morton Ranch last week puttin up 45 points I cant remember the last time Tomball put up 45 against someone. They did drop to many passes, and and the QB gonna have to quit running so much or he aint gonna make it though the season with his running style. And the run defense up front in the front 4 needs to be a little better. But other than that I was pretty impressed. This week they will face a better but young team in Jersey Village. Jersey Village graduated a lot of people of of last years team and their playmakers this year are Sophomores and Juniors. The do have a good tandem at Running Back Junior Victor Brown who had over 1,000 yards as a sophomore and Josh Bibbs who I havent seen much of but his brother who played for Jersey Village Anthony Bibbs led the Houston area in rushing yards a couple of years back. So you figure something is in the bloodline with Josh. Another adavantage for Jersey Village is that they didnt play last week and they also have some up to date film on Tomball. So they should have a better idea of whats coming than Tomball does of them.

TOES PICK:
TOMBALL: 31
JERSEY VILLAGE: 24

2. Tomball over Jersey Village

COLLEGE GAME OF THE WEEK

#21 LSU TIGERS VS #18 NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS

SATURDAY SEPT. 4TH ATLANTA (GEORGIA DOME)

LSU RUSSELL SHEPARD,LSU RUSSELL SHEPARD UNC DT MARVIN AUSTIN,UNC DT MARVIN AUSTIN

LSU WR/QB/RB Russell Shepard                                   UNC Marvin Austin DT

LSU is coming into this one with the same problem they had last year quarterback. As a matter of fact I dont like either teams QB in this one. I do like LSU’s offense a little better than North Carolina. But North Carolina has 1st round NFL talent all in there Defense probably 3 or 4 1st rounders. But LSU Russell Shepard all he needs is a little crease and he is gone so I think that will be the difference in this one. Now Betting wise history says opening week bet teams that are senior loaded and at home vs youth (lsu) and on the road (neutral site atlanta) I will take LSU in this one just because I dont think North Carolina’s offense can score points in this one

TOES PICK
LSU: 14
NORTH CAROLINA:10
