WEEK 4 NFL, COLLEGE, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS

PREVIOUS WEEKS REVIEW/RANDOM THOUGHTS

West Orange Stark Reggie Garrett

West Orange Stark QB Reggie Gilbert 1993-2010

On a sour note West Orange QB Reggie Garrett collapsed and died in their game on Friday night after throwing a TD pass upon he went to the sideline and just collapsed. They had a big game this coming week against Giddings in Conroe scheduled for this coming Saturday that I was gonna go to but that was canceled and understandably so. I had West Orange Stark for a couple of games at the State 7on7 Football tourney, and they ate at the same place as me that night I chatted it up with them a bunch that night (it was the night of the Lebron annoucement). And he did correctly predict that Lebron was goin to Miami. But anyways they a good bunch of kids and I feel pretty bad for them.

  • SNITCHES GET STITCHES !!!!!! IM SURE MIKE LEACH HAD A GOOD LAUGH !! WATCHING THIS DURING THE TEXAS TECH GAME SATURDAY

  • And Speaking of that Texas game Garrett Gilbert if you read this blog regularly you know I think the world of him. But his damn teammates piss me off to no end. Those recievers are horrible (I been saying that the Alabama game last year) they cant catch 6 dropped passes in the Tech game. All the Interceptions were the results of tipped balls, and then the one Williams bobbled so a tech player could pick it off. I hate their recievers!! AND I hate their running backs!! Jonathan Gray or Malcom Brown would start there right now and there both in High School and Gray is only a Junior!! And when they go 3 reciever sets all three true freshman should be in there Mike Davis, Darius White, John Harris, Oh and another true Freshman DE Jackson Jeffcoat was Dominant Tech couldnt block him at all, as soon as these junior and seniors graduate and let these freshmen and sophomores play football they will be in the National Championship The O-linemen that are sophomores or redshirt freshman now will be the best O-line in the country!!

  • I know how you feel Notre Dame fans they play clock was on zero when Michigan State pulled the fake field goal for a TD to win They should make this reviewable. If it was the play that happened in the titans ravens playoff game two years would have been reversed and the Titans would have been in the super bowl that year. OH and the Michigan State coach had a heart attack later that night!!

  • If your a football player and you have one of those damn twitter account you should expect this kind of stuff, and especially when you suck as bad as Jacory Harris did in the Ohio State game but this guy was a lil over the line. But ill leave the subject matter alone you can read it for yourself

  • The Woodlands High School/Texas Tech product Danny Amendola feels the wrath from Rookie Raiders Linebacker Rolando McClain check it out

BETTING REVIEW

OVERALL GAME OF THE WEEK

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide(-7)vs #10 Arkansas Razorbacks(+7)

7pm Saturday Sept. 25TH 2:30 PM TV: CBS

Photobucket

Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas                Greg McElroy QB Alabama

(Texas H.S. Texarkana Tx)               (Southlake Carroll H.S.)

Once again two top ten ranked teams meet up and surprise surprise they are both led by Texas High School Quarterbacks Ryan Mallett out of Texas High School in Texarkana and Greg McElroy out of Southlake Carroll’s powerhouse program. Arkansas comes battle tested beating Georgia last week, While Alabama beat down Duke, Arkansas was in a war with Georgia. But Alabama is the defending champion and Arkansas has yet to find a ground game. Also Alabama QB Greg McElroy hasnt lost a game he started in since 7th grade. This is a tough spot here Arkansas got shut down last year @Alabama, But Arkansas is the home team so thats a big deal with SEC games and they are getting 7 points on the betting line. I would find it really hard to pick Arkansas to win the game straight up But they are getting 7 points in this one so that gives you some room for error, but I picked Arkansas to beat them in the preseason picks so I’ll go with Arkansas

TOES PICK
Arkansas: 21

Alabama: 14

HIGH SCHOOL GAME OF THE WEEK
TOMBALL COUGARS VS WESTFIELD MUSTANGS
7PM FRIDAY SEPT. 25th Cougar Stadium (Tomball)

Tomball Justin DvorakDesmond Jackson Westfield Texas Commit

TOMBALL QB Justin Dvorak (Junior)                Westfield DT Desmond Jackson

                                                                            (Texas Longhorns Commit)

Tomball 3-0 Westfield 3-0 In what is a big district opener I think the game speed will be totally different from what Tomball has been seeing the last 3 games. This team is balanced they can and will pass it unlike the 3 teams Tomball has played before. Westfield starting QB Darren was hurt and didnt play last week against Hastings. Without him Westfield couldnt pass the ball at all, but they didnt need to there run game and defense came through. Unfortunately for Tomball the QB is gonna play this week. Im not sure what number he isAnd If anyone is reading this on Tomball’s defense hit him low his leg was what kept him from playing last week. Tomball must keep him in check. The backup QB is #7 and if he is in expect a lot of run plays from Westfield Westfield runs a spread offense which Tomball hasnt seen yet this year. And with the caliber of Offense Westfield has it will be interesting to see how Tomball does against it. As far as the Westfield defense goes they are led by Desmond Jackson who is going to be going to UT in the fall. He is super quick for a guy his size, and seemed to live in Hastings backfield last week. I dont believe Westfield has given up a TD in their last 2 games Tomball gonna have to be focused on stopping him Hastings did have a lot of success with the quick screens to recievers and backs, and Tomball does run a lot of those so that should be an area they could excel in, but on the other hand you would think that exposed Westfield to it so they been workin on it all week so we will see what happens with that. I think the big thing I want out of this game is for it to be close to the end. Its important to keep the confidence up and keep some sort of momentum though district play

COLLEGE GAME OF THE WEEK

OREGON STATE VS BOISE STATE

SATURDAY SEPT. 25TH 7PM TV:ESPN

Jaquizz Rodgers Oregon state Lamar Cons.D.J. Harper Boise State Cy Creek

Jaquizz Rodgers Oregon State                                     D.J. Harper Boise State

Lamar Cons. High School                                             Cy Creek High School

Well this looks like the last chance Boise State has to actually lose a game, Although their game @ Nevada remains a possibility. But If Oregon State couldn’t hang with TCU, I dont see how they gonna hang with Boise State on the blue turf but 17 ½ points is a pretty enticing betting line I might take the points in this one Also Oregon state painted their practice field blue this week to get ready for the blue turf I like Oregos State to cover

NFL GAME OF THE WEEK

HOUSTON TEXANS VS DALLAS COWBOYS

12PM SUNDAY SEPT 26TH, Reliant Stadium Houston

Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant Lufkin H.S./Oklahoma StateHouston Texans Mario Williams

Dallas WR Dez Bryant                                Houston DE Mario Williams

(Lufkin H.S.)

Houston has a real chance to to put Dallas in full blown panic mode if they can drop them to 0-3. And I think they will. Dallas’ safeties in my opinion the worst in the NFL. Dallas offensive tackles have struggled big time, there no chance they are gonna contain Mario Williams. I like Houston in this one
