HIGH SCHOOL GAME OF THE WEEK

ANOTHER SLOW WEEK IN HIGH SCHOOL NO HOUSTON GAME OF THE WEEK

TOMBALL COUGARS VS KLEIN BEARKATS
7PM FRIDAY OCT. 29TH COUGAR STADIUM (TOMBALL)

TOMBALL OFFENSIVE LINE

                                                                                              Klein #18 Eric Rowe
                                                                                                (Utah Commit)

Klein will come into Tomball with a very similar style of play calling, that Klein Oak came in with last week ground and pound then break them with the play action pass. The play action pass was there for the taking all game last week for Klein Oak. The good news is Klein doesn’t have the type of play makers that Klein Oak has. But Klein is a team that doesnt make mistakes, doesnt commit penalties, doesnt turn the ball over. They play very safe. And it works for them, Last year they made it to the Final 4 and was one game away from playing for the state title. Most the stars of last years team are gone, And they are breaking in a new coach. But they do return safety #18 Eric Rowe who is committed to Utah, and a DT that is committed to Rice. Klein’s offense is RB Keshawn Hill, and The QB situation is something im not to sure about. The two games I have seen Klein in Had #2 Michael Edel had been QB he is now playing reciever, and now #7 Andrew Santacroce is now playing QB, I dont know why or what the reasoning for the switch was. I believe they have both been healthy all year, they have both played in all the games, I could be wrong but not sure. They are both really shifty and good runners. But #7 has been playing and should be starting friday. On the playaction passes they have a huge TE/WR, #14 Chris Loving I cant find how tall he is but he appears anywhere between 6’5-6’7 would be my guess, he listed as a TE but will line up wide most of the time, and is a good blocker on the edge against smaller cornerbacks. This week for Tomball I think it is important not to get behind early and dig themselves into a hole. The last two weeks Tomball’s offense has been really slow out the gates and then had to comeback late in the game. If Tomball can come out get in the flow of the game. Win the turnover battle I know that sounds cliché but you cant really cant turn the ball over against this team. If they do that I think they can hang. I’ll take Tomball in a close one, But If I was a betting man and could bet money on this game. I would go with Klein. But Because of the Importance of this game I’ll go with Tomball

  1. Good pick on the Tomball game. 23-10 Tomball. Pretty much shut their offense down and our running game finally kicked in.
